Healthy Places: Designing an Active Colorado is an initiative being funded by the Colorado Health Foundation. The City of Arvada is proud to have been selected as one of three Colorado communities to participate in the first phase of the project.
Terrace and Homestead Park
As part of the Healthy Places Initiative,Terrace and Homestead parks are being enhanced with a variety of amenities including fitness stations, trail upgrades, increased wheel chair accessibility, picnic/pavilion areas and additional benches for seating. These amenities were designed based on feedback from the public and are intended to activate the space and invite residents to visit the park and stay longer. Additional trees and shrubs will also be planted to increase the beauty of the parks! These enhancements will be completed by late summer. To see the final design concepts download the PDFs from the column on the right. Construction will break ground in the Spring of 2016!
